Lacrosse Advances to Fourth Consecutive State Championship

The Brophy lacrosse program posted a 19-5 win over Perry to advance to the Arizona Lacrosse League State Championship game for the fourth consecutive year. The two-time defending champions, the Broncos, are looking for a third consecutive title. 

Senior Erik Volfson scored six times, and Joshua Buse scored four times in the win. The game was tied at 3 in the first period. The Broncos extended the lead in the second, outsourcing the Pumas 5-1 for an 8p4 advantage at the break. Six unanswered goals to start the second half put the game in control. Brophy finished with five more unanswered in the fourth period.

While Volfson and Buse combined for 10 goals, the Broncos got goals from seven other players, while Deion James dominated the faceoffs with 20 and 11 ground balls. 

Brophy will play Pinnacle on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Prep.

Parking: Enter NDP at the southernmost entrance (just south of baseball fields) and take the one-way drive to the North Lot (Near football field).  When you exit, proceed out the north exit
Tickets: 
$10 for all Adults,
$5 for Children under 14, Senior Citizens, Armed Forces/Veterans.  
No charge for those having an NDP Activities Pass
Seating is first come, first serve
Bag Policy: Only a clear bag will be allowed inside
Concessions: Will be open and offering various soft drinks, snacks, pizza
*No outside food or drinks allowed. Unopened plastic water bottles are allowed as well.
