Get to Know: #10 Jameson Choi

Jameson Choi, a four-year program member, was named team captain for the season. He is undecided about his college choice. He loves Mexican Food, and his favorite restaurant is Taco Boys. He assisted on the game-winning goal in the Rams Tournament final and tallied two assists and a goal in the tournament. 
 
What did it mean to you to be named a team captain?
‘It means a lot to me. I have to represent the group of kids who are on my team. I feel proud to be able to represent them. This team is my brotherhood. It is like being a big brother on the team.”
 
What are your goals for the season?
“My goal is to be a good leader for the team and inspire the other kids to prepare for the season. We want to do extremely well and contend for the state championship.”
 
What do you bring to the field for the team?
“I bring a good balance to the team. I can fill in any role. I am a supportive player and willing to go the extra mile to help the person.”
 
What does it mean to you to play for Brophy?
“It means a lot and shows your pride in your school. Brophy has a great representation. It is a lot of weight to wear the badge.”
 
It is important to you to be a big brother. Tell us about your sibling.
“My brother Kellen is a sophomore. He plays club in MLS Next. Being a good big brother can sometimes be frustrating, but I have an important relationship. I represent who he should become, and being that example can help him become who he wants to be. I did my job if he is a good person with good morals.”
