The Application Process

The online application for the Class of 2029 (fall 2024 rising eighth graders) will open on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Deadline for all application materials is Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025

Brophy takes a comprehensive look at all applicants for admissions; each applicant file includes an online application and essay, five required recommendation forms plus an optional pastor/faith leader recommendation form, transcript of academic record from seventh and eighth grades, standardized test scores from seventh grade, entrance exam and exam essay and personal video.

Applicants who complete our Inquiry Form will be emailed a link to set up the Blackbaud ID login to our application system, myBrophy.

Class of 2029 Applicant Due Dates

Complete the online Inquiry Form.
Upload a copy of the applicant's birth certificate to the application portal.
HSPT Entrance Exam plus writing prompt will be offered at Brophy on Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, 2024.
Online application, including personal essay due by Jan. 15, 2025.
Five required online recommendation forms (English, math, teacher of choice, principal/counselor, extracurricular) due by Jan. 15, 2025. A sixth recommendation, Faith/Religious Leader, is optional.
Transcripts (seventh grade and first semester/trimester of eighth grade) due by Jan. 15, 2025.
Standardized test scores (AASA, ERBs, Iowas, etc.), if available, from seventh grade due by Jan. 15, 2025.
Submit a personal video by uploading online via the application portal by Jan. 15, 2025.

The HSPT Entrance Exam testing fee is $30 and is payable online at the time of test registration.

The application fee is $60 and is payable online when you submit the application by Jan. 15, 2025. For information on qualifying for a waiver of the $60 application fee, contact the Admissions Office.

Application decisions will be available online Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m. Letters also will be mailed to all applicants and should arrive by the following Monday or Tuesday. Accepted students have three weeks to make a decision and must register for the 2025–26 school year by March 13.

Important Dates

Dec. 7, 2024 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m. Registration link coming soon.

Dec. 10 and Dec. 16, 2024 - Makeup Entrance Exam Writing Prompt at 6 p.m. online if you take the HSPT Exam at a different high school.

Dec. 14, 2024 – HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (HSPT) ENTRANCE EXAM, check-in at 7:15 a.m. Registration link coming soon.

Jan. 15, 2025 – All application materials are due for Class of 2029 applicants.

Feb. 14, 2025 – Admissions decisions available online at 4 p.m.

Feb. 19, 2025 – The registration process opens for the Class of 2029 accepted students.

March 13, 2025 – Deadline for registering as a new student.

April 7, 2025 – World Language Proficiency Exams (Spanish and Latin).

April 9, 2025 – Big Brother Welcome and New Student Night.

April 28, April 29 and May 5 – Math Proficiency Exams (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus).

May 27, 2025 – High School Summer School begins (credit classes).

June 27, 2025 – Summer School ends.
