Brophy won five individual events, including three varsity events on Saturday at the Becky Matthews Invitational hosted by Desert Vista, finishing fourth overall with 87.5 points.
Senior Nero Nuez won the 110m hurdles in 14.86, while senior Darius Alberty took the 300m hurdles in 39.89. He was also third in the 110m hurdles (15.23) and was second in the javelin with a best of 181-0. Junior Rylan Umphrey jumped 21-6.75 to place second in the long jump.
Senior Evan Giesecke won the 1600m in 4:29.52, junior Vincent Laba was second in the 3200m in 11:01, and senior Noah Granoff was fourth (11:35.69). Josiah Colburt clocked a 2:00.89 in the 800 meters to finish second.
Other highlights included Tanner Bice recording a 41-5 triple jump for second and placing third in the high jump at 5-8.
In the Frosh/Soph meet, Max Columbus won the pole vault with a clearance of 10-9, won the 100m hurdles in 16.60, and was second in the javelin at 152-8, the fifth-best throw on the all-time list. Freshman Julian Ferrari was third in the 100m in 11.32 and 200m in 23.19. Classmate Jake Shaff was close behind in 23.21 in fourth and was fourth in the 400m in 51.20. Jacob Rabadi PR'd in shot put (35-9), discus (93-1), and javelin (119-2), making him one of the best Freshmen in Brophy history in all three events.
