FINANCIAL AID FUND

As a Jesuit institution that seeks to provide an exemplary education to all young men who qualify, Brophy's admission process is need-blind. Students are accepted on merit and once accepted, can apply for need-verified financial aid. In 2022-23, Brophy's financial aid budget was approximately $6 million. Donations to the Financial Aid Fund change lives far into the future.

ALUMNI GIVING

Alumni play an important role in the future of educational institutions and Brophy is no exception. Many have stepped up over the years and we ask all Brophy alumni to consider an annual donation to help provide for the students of today and tomorrow. If you would like to discuss making a naming gift or estate gift, please contact President Bob Ryan.

BROPHY ENDOWMENT

In 2019, Brophy kicked off the $50 million Generations Endowment Campaign to build Brophy's endowment for financial aid. The campaign met its goal in April 2023; however, gifts can still be designated for the financial aid endowment. Endowment principal will grow to ensure future generations of students can be cared for, and Brophy's Jesuit mission safeguarded.

MEMORIAL GIFTS

We are grateful to those who remember a loved one by giving a memorial gift in their name. It represents a meaningful way to honor the legacy of someone who invested in or benefited from a Jesuit education. We also appreciate those who chose to give a gift in honor of a friend or family member. If you wish to discuss a memorial or honoree gift, contact President Bob Ryan.

"MEN OF" CAMPAIGNS

Each year, freshman families are asked to support the "Men of" Campaign (e.g. "Men of '27), just as the families who have come before them have done. Each freshman class has access to educational enhancements and facilities made possible by earlier campaigns; thus, we ask our newest families to continue the tradition to benefit future Broncos.

WELLNESS FUND

The Brophy Wellness and Mental Health Fund was created in conjunction with the Graf family to honor the memory of Austin Graf ’24 and in support of anyone who struggles with mental health challenges. Gifts will be directed to support student counseling, wellness initiatives and other programs that center around mental health.

GENERAL FUND

Donating to the General Fund allows Brophy the flexibility of applying a gift to its most immediate need, or applying it to the endowment if current budget needs are covered. Tuition covers the cost of education only so Brophy relies on the community's support to fund financial aid, capital needs and other expenses.

BROPHY CHAPEL

Since 1928, the chapel has served as a sanctuary for Brophy students and alumni. In addition to providing a space for students to worship, the chapel has witnessed many weddings, funerals and other sacred moments in the life of our community. Your gift to Brophy Chapel allows us to maintain this beautiful and historic space that continues to be central to life at Brophy.

  • > The Difference Between Donating to Brophy and Contributing to Brophy Community Foundation's Tax Credit Program

What's the difference between donating to Brophy and contributing to the Brophy Community Foundation tax credit program? (Each is a separate 501(c)3 Arizona nonprofit.)

Supporting Brophy Community Foundation via a Tax Credit
As a state-certified student tuition organization (STO), Brophy Community Foundation (BCF) asks community members and friends, as well as corporations, to designate their Arizona state tax liability as a tax credit to BCF to fund need-verified financial aid supporting 38 mission-aligned private schools across the state. Once participants (individuals and corporations) contribute to BCF the amount allowed by Arizona law, they can then subtract that from their Arizona state tax liability. It’s a wonderful way to support need-based tuition assistance for students without ultimately costing the participant anything out of pocket.

    Supporting Brophy College Preparatory
As a private nonprofit school that receives no Diocesan funding, Brophy College Preparatory conducts giving campaigns — such as the class campaigns ("Men of") and Annual Fund — as well as fundraising events. When you make a donation or pledge that supports a campaign or event, that donation is tax-deductible as allowed by law, but it is not linked to or affiliated with the Arizona tax credit program which regulates the Brophy Community Foundation; i.e., tax credit contributions to BCF cannot be used to support a Brophy fundraising event or fulfill a commitment to a giving campaign.

The efforts of both nonprofit organizations work together to provide need-based tuition assistance.
