Golf Wins Match at Lookout Mountain, Nelson Earns Medalist

Brophy finished with the top four players in the individual standings to defeat Sunnyslope, Millennium, and Vista Grande in a match Tuesday at Lookout Mountain Golf Course. Sophomore Asher Nelson was the medalist after posting a four-under-par 32, while teammate Evan Tyree was one stroke back with 33. Juniors Brennan Wiscombe and Mateo Merastegui tied for third overall with one-under-par rounds of 35.
Nelson recorded three birdies, an eagle on the fifth hole, and one bogey. Tyree capped his round with his third birdie on the ninth hole to finish his bogey-free round.
Brophy hosts the Brophy Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday with boys and girls tournaments at Papago Golf Course.
