Boenning and Shores Earn Central Region Golf Honors

Senior Dylan Boenning and Head Coach Jon Shores earned top honors in the AIA Central Region postseason awards announced as voted on by the coaches.

Boenning was named the Central Region Player of the Year, while Shores was named the Region Coach of the Year. The Broncos won the Central Region title over Corona del Sol, winning all 10 regular season matches and two invitational titles (Brophy Invitational, Peaks Invitational) during the season before taking the AIA Divison I State Championship.

Beginning was medallist three times during the season before placing second overall at the State Championships by one stroke. He won the Brophy Invitational title by six stokes and had top 10 finished at the Brophy Rodeo and Peaks Invitational in Flagstaff.

Sophomore Asher Nelson was named to the All-Central Region first team, while sophomore Jack Langbein and freshman Hank Miller were selected to the second team. First and second-team selections were based on finishes at the Division I State Tournament.

Sophomore Evan Tyree, junior Adone Panattoni, and junior Jack Abraham were honorable mention selections.
