Vanden Bosch Named Head Strength and Conditiong Coach at Brophy College Prep

Former Arizona Cardinal Kyle Vanden Bosch has been named the Head Strength and Condioning Coach at Brophy College Prep, Athletics Director Josh Garcia ‘07 announced.

"I am honored to accept the position of head strength and conditioning director at Brophy,” said Vanden Bosch. “I intend to uphold the strong standards that Joe Denk established during his time here. Brophy provides an elite education and high-character development that prepares our students for the rigors of college and life after college. Our strength and conditioning program will be held to the same high standard.”
 
Vanden Bosch replaces Joe Denk, who served in the position for the last 10 years. 
 
Vanden Bosch had a 12-year career in the National Football League, playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, and Detroit Lions. He was selected to the Pro Bowl three times (2005, 2007, 2009) and was a team captain and player representative for eight years. He won a National Championship at Nebraska in 1997 and was Gatorade Player of the Year in Iowa at West Lyon High School.
 
“Our athletic training programs will prepare the students for college-level competition,” said Vanden Bosch. “They will emphasize improving athletic performance, functional sport-specific training, mobility work, and injury reduction for the given sport. All students will learn long-term healthy habits, proper nutrition, and recovery. It is among my greatest honors to step into this role and work with the coaches and students here."
 
Vanden Bosch has served on the staff on campus as the assistant strength and conditioning coach since 2023. He joined the freshman football staff in 2022 as the defensive line coach and has been the varsity special teams coordinator for the last two seasons under Head Coach Jason Jewell.

Vanden Bosch’s sons, Bastian and Case, will be seniors this season at Brophy.
