Brophy Literary and Art Magazine (BLAM) Receives Two Top Awards for "Nomad"
Brophy's long-running literature and art magazine, BLAM, was honored with a first-place award by the American Scholastic Association and a Realm First Class Award from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The awards went to the 2023 edition of BLAM, "Nomad," moderated by faculty members Ashley Doud and Shelby Stringer.
The American Scholastic Association recognizes school magazines by reviewing their content and design and assigning a first-, second- or third-place award. The NCTE looked at 375 student magazines from across the country and awarded REALM First Class recognition to 108 of them, including BLAM. REALM denotes "Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines."
The 2024 edition of BLAM will be out in early May and will have a space theme. Congratulations to our students who commit to the highest standards of writing and design!
Brophy College Preparatory is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Alumni Awards, which will be presented during the Father–Son Communion Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 22. The annual gathering is one of Brophy’s most cherished traditions, bringing together generations of fathers and sons for a morning of faith, fellowship, and celebration of the Brophy brotherhood.
