Our U-19 team lost 42-12 against Scottsdale Wolves. Brophy started with a try within 5 minutes of the match on a 35m run from Carter Weyrauch but failed the conversion for an early 5-0 lead. It was all Scottsdale after this. They muscled our pack and the inexperience was just a bit too much for Brophy as we conceded 18 penalties to 13. 6 turnovers and 3 unforced errors had Scottsdale up 37-5. Brophy put phases together and got a try with a conversion with 7 minutes to play on a great pass to finish 12m out to Eddie Martinez Estrada. The score at 37-12 and then Scottsdale scored with a couple of minutes left in the game on a penalty. Freshman, Asher Golub was Man of the Match.

Valedictorian Doer Leo He delivered a memorable speech, drawing parallels to the movie "Finding Nemo" and encouraging his classmates to persevere with the phrase, "Just keep swimming." President Bob Ryan and Principal Jim Bopp also spoke, highlighting the graduates' resilience and urging them to be agents of positive change.
The ceremony concluded with a strong sense of pride and accomplishment, celebrating the Class of 2024's journey from remote learning to a united and triumphant graduation.
