Donor Privacy Policy
At Brophy College Preparatory, we respect and protect the privacy of our donors. We encourage our donors to read the following Donor Privacy Policy to understand how we treat donor information. This donor privacy policy guides Brophy staff and volunteers on how they may and may not use donor information while honoring the rights of our contributors. We have developed this privacy policy to ensure donors that Brophy will not share or sell a donor's information to any third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Brophy also provides donors with the opportunity to remove their names from our mailing list at any time if they desire to do so.
Brophy collects and uses the following types of donor information:
• Contact information: name, organization affiliations, complete address(es), phone number(s), email address(es)
• Payment information: credit card number, expiration date and related billing information, which is used only for donation processing. Please note that no credit card information is stored after the processing of a donation transaction, which includes card numbers, expiration dates and CVV numbers.
• Requests to receive periodic updates: e.g., to individuals who request it, Brophy will send periodic newsletters, mailings and/or emails related to specific alumni events, admissions activities, fundraising events or appeals.
Brophy uses donor information to complete donation transactions, to communicate with donors and to keep donors informed about our organization’s activities. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. Brophy also maintains an internal record of each donor’s giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is used in our development process of analyzing overall giving in order to make accurate budget projections. Brophy does not sell, trade, rent, lease or share donor information with or to other organizations. We assure you that use of donor information is limited to the internal purposes of Brophy. Brophy College Preparatory does recognize donors annually by publishing donor names in the Annual Report, unless a donor has specifically chosen the "anonymous" option when making a donation.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Brophy College Preparatory will occasionally update this Policy. When we do, we will also revise the “last updated” date at the bottom of this Policy. For material changes to this Policy, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on the Sites. We will not materially alter the use of your personally identifiable information without contacting you directly and seeking your consent.
